As a PPR member, you must strive to be the best teaching professional you can. You are obligated to be an upstanding citizen and role model to your students, to your community, and to the pickleball teaching and coaching profession. All PPR members are expected to maintain moral integrity and to exemplify the highest ideals of our profession.
PPR requires strict adherence to the following Code of Ethics:
Members must be fair, honest and sportsmanlike at all times, conduct themselves in a professional manner both on and off the court, and exemplify the highest standards of moral character.
PPR has a zero tolerance policy for convictions involving fraud, sexual abuse, discrimination, and harassment.
Members must meet their financial responsibilities promptly and honor their contracts.
Members are expected to enhance their professional goals through continuing education, seminars, conventions, etc., and to strive for excellence through professional development.
Personal grooming habits should be of the highest standard. Respect each place you work, play or visit, so that you are in accordance with their standards.
Teach and abide by the rules of the game in letter and in spirit. Always respect officials and their decisions.
Members are not permitted to conduct or solicit lessons where a resident professional is employed, unless prior approval has been obtained from the facility and/or resident professional.
Encourage healthy respect for your co-workers, colleagues and Professional Pickleball Registry.
Current members may display the PPR logo on advertising materials and/or apparel to promote affiliation with PPR. If membership lapses:
- the PPR logo may not be displayed or used in any way that implies membership or affiliation.
- reference to PPR in all materials, including websites, social media and other printed or digital media must cease.
- members have 12 months to reinstate membership or risk losing their certification rating.
PPR membership and/or certification relates to the member only, not the business entity.
PPR members lead ethically and with intelligence, respect and compassion, for common good emerge for them and for the entire organization.
