$ 6,000,000 Personal Liability Insurance for PPR Members and Their Pickleball Activities
A valuable membership benefit for our domestic and Canadian members, is the opportunity to purchase the tort, legal liability insurance coverage through the PTR’s Master Policy. This is an option that new members or current members can take for only $49.00 and this is generally done along with payment of your membership fees. This policy has NO deductible. (Also available for UK members)

Your coverage goes into effect the next business day. You will receive an official certificate of insurance with your membership materials. By request, your certificate can be emailed the next business day.

You are encouraged to purchase this insurance option every time you renew your dues. If you decide to add the optional insurance anytime during the year, you can do so by contacting the PTR office and your policy will go into effect the day after your payment is processed.

  1. Coverage: 
    The coverage is a broad Personal Liability Coverage for tennis and pickleball activities which includes and applies to teaching, instructing, conditioning, playing, supervising, ball machine exercises, and other similar duties involving the game of tennis and pickleball.
  2. Limits Of Liability: 
    $ 6,000,000 Per Occurrence (Court Activities) 
    $ 8,000,000Per Annual Aggregate (Court Activities) 
  3. Deductible: 
    $0 Deductible Per Claim

Additional Insured Endorsement

An Additional Insured Endorsement is used to extend your General Liability policy to include coverage for those additional insureds named in the form. This is only provided for liability arising out of your ongoing operations performed for the additional insured(s) at designated locations, or out of your acts or omissions while working as a subcontractor. This coverage is not automatically included. 

The additional Insured Endorsement will provide the Club, etc. coverage only for negligence on the PTR member’s part as it regards to his or her Tennis Instruction. The club still needs to obtain and provide its own Comprehensive General Liability Coverage for court ownership, maintenance and public liability. 

Only current PTR members who are covered by the General Liability Insurance may purchase an Additional Insured Endorsement. 

The charge for the initial Additional Insured Endorsement is $80, and $45 for each additional endorsement.

Sexual Abuse & Molestation Insurance Coverage

Philadelphia Insurance Company is no longer including Sexual Abuse & Molestation on the master insurance policy for the Professional Tennis Registry as of September 1st, 2018. This is a result of the increased media attention surrounding these issues in the recent past.

The alternate option that is available is a separate policy for each member and would include the following coverages:

• General Liability - $1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate
• Medical Payments - $5,000
• Sexual Abuse & Molestation - $100,000 per occurrence/$300,000 aggregate (additional limits are available for an increased premium)
